Soft Sugar Cookies

Soft Sugar Cookies give you a warm and fuzzy feeling when you bite into them. They melt in your mouth and and elicit deep sighs of contentment! They can have as much or as little decoration on top as you like. Their flavor is enough to carry them, but a little something fun on top only makes the experience that much more enjoyable! To start your Soft Sugar Cookies, cream the shortening, butter and sugar and eggs together with Smith's 100% Orange Juice. Mix the dry ingredients together separately, then add them in to the creamed mixture and mix until a smooth dough comes together. Let it chill for an hour, then roll and cut your shapes as simple or as fanciful as you like. Bake until just slightly golden. Serve your Soft Sugar Cookies just as they are or decorate with your favorite buttercream or royal icing, and enjoy that happy cookie feeling!
