Pecan Sour Cream Waffles

How to Make

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 cups Smith's sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp. melted shortening
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

DIRECTIONS

  1. Sift flour, baking soda, salt and sugar together.
  2. Add Smith's sour cream, separate eggs. Beat yolks and add to mixture, mix thoroughly.
  3. Beat egg whites, stiff and fold into mixture. Add shortening, then chopped pecans.
  4. Heat waffle iron, then bake.
  5. Makes 8 waffles. Serves 4 to 6.
