Some of the best memories of childhood come from when things didn't quite go as planned. And often, those treasured stories originated in the kitchen ... like the phase mom went through when she tried to perfect a Rice Pudding recipe but just couldn't quite get it right. Everyone would chuckle when another batch wasn't sweet enough or burned or stuck to the bottom of the pan, but she kept on trying. One blessed day, she got it right, Mom's Famous Rice Pudding was born and now it is forever a cherished family recipe. Just boil the rice and let it simmer for 20 minutes. In a new pan, combine the rice, Smith's Milk, sugar and salt. After about 15 minutes, when the mixture is thick and creamy, add a little more Smith's Milk, egg and Craisins. The final magic comes in at the end with a little bit of butter and vanilla. One sweet taste and you'll be reminiscing about the good ol' days in the kitchen making Mom's Famous Rice Pudding!
