Grasshopper Ice Cream Pie

Smith's Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream is one of summer's best flavors. It's cool and refreshing and the perfect treat no matter how you serve it — in a dish, cone, sundae or even straight out of the carton! But our Grasshopper Ice Cream Pie will take that minty bliss to a whole new dimension with just a few ingredients and a mere minutes of your time. Set the ice cream out to thaw for about half an hour. Make a quick crust for your Grasshopper Ice Cream Pie by crushing up some Oreos, drizzling them with melted butter then pressing it all into a 9" x 13" pan. Freeze it for just a bit, then spread your thawed Smith's Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream over the crust. Drizzle with chocolate sauce, and freeze until firm. Grasshopper Ice Cream Pie will be your family's new favorite summertime dessert tradition!

How to Make



  1. Let Smith's ice cream thaw about half an hour.
  2. Crush enough Oreos to cover bottom of 9" x 13" pan.
  3. Drizzle melted margarine over the crushed cookies and pat down.
  4. Freeze about 15 minutes.
  5. Spread ice cream over the top and drizzle with chocolate sauce, if desired.
  6. Freeze at least 5 hours.
