Faux Fried Ice Cream

Remember getting fried ice cream for dessert as a kid and being absolutely flabbergasted that such a thing even existed? Well, we have the perfect recipe for recreating that amazement in your home, but without the messy oil splatter! Our Faux Fried Ice Cream is made with Smith's Vanilla Ice Cream at its core, so you know it's going to be good! Pre-scoop your ice cream and keep it in the freezer while you prepare the delightfully crunchy coating made from butter, pecans, cinnamon and Corn Flakes. Coat the ice cream in the cereal mixture and return to the freezer until it's time for the big reveal. A light drizzle of honey right before serving takes this Faux Fried Ice Cream to the next level and immediately transports you back to childhood delight. If you want to take it even a step further, add some chocolate sauce, whipped cream and a cherry!
