Cherry Cheese Pie

For a colorful holiday dessert that won't take hours to prepare or a quick weeknight treat that doesn't require much effort, try our Cherry Cheese Pie. It's easy to make, but there is beautiful and delicate flavor in every creamy bite. This pie will give you the same happy feeling that cheesecake does ... without having to do all of that work! You can use a purchased graham cracker or chocolate cookie crust, or make your own if you have time. The Cherry Cheese Pie filling starts with a simple combination of cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla, creamed until smooth. You'll then beat some Smith's Heavy Whipping cream until soft peaks form and gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture. Spread it into your prepared crust and chill until you're ready to serve. Top with cherry pie filling and then watch with delight as your family devours this extra-special, but very low-maintenance Cherry Cheese Pie.

How to Make

  • 8" or 9" graham cracker or chocolate cookie pie crust (either purchased or make your own)
  • 8-oz package cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Smith's Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 21-oz can cherry pie filling

  1. Cream together the cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Set aside. In a separate bowl, whip Smith's Heavy Whipping Cream until soft peaks form.
  3. Carefully fold cream cheese mixture into whipped cream and pour into prepared crust.
  4. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours.
  5. Top with cherry pie filling and serve.
